These Briar Blocks are cured and cut from high quality burls at early 1990’s.
Extra dry, good grade with very nice bird's eye and flame grains.
Harvested from the western Anatolian Mediterranean zone.
These unfinished briar wood kits are engineered for custom pipe makers, hobbyists, and woodworkers who wish to carve their own tobacco smoking pipe. The kit includes a high-grade, pre-drilled briar stummel block paired with a fitted special long acrylic stem, eliminating the need for precision internal drilling. The external block features clean, angular geometry, providing ample material to shape, sand, and finish to your exact ergonomic preferences. Models are available in both straight-stem and bent-stem configurations.
Suitable for hand-carving, files, or rotary tool shaping.
