Blonde shellac flakes to prepare ~4 oz - 110 ml shellac varnish with 160 proof or 80% ABV alcohol.
Even after complete dissolution, there will be traces of sediments in the mixture. It is recommended to filter the diluted shellac with a paint filter, cheesecloth or a piece of white cotton.
